Snapshots of Spring in Awaji

Now Spring has come to Awaji and is moving to Summer. We have a lot of beautiful spring scenes with flowers as shown here.

Awaji-Hanasajiki(flower bed) is located in the northern end of the island at a top of hill. Poppies are in full bloom now. Akashi Kaikyo Bridge is just behind this area as you see in this picture.
The central area of Awaji island is covered by lower mountains and hills with a lot of greens.
A new practice hall for “Zen” (mental training) named Zenbo Seinei has just started in the forest.
From the windows of Zenbo Seinei you can catch the greens at hand after your training.

A new farmer’s restaurant has started and named “Haru San San”. Its roof is covered by thatch. You can enjoy local fresh vegetables.

Recovered ancient houses at a hill top of Gossa Kaito looking over the sea.
Gossa Kaito is a remain approved by Japanese Government as an important historic site. Here people lived around 200 AD and produced steel tools.
Fresh onions are brand onion. Now it is the season for harvest.
